We are not sure what is going on in the world but August has been one of the busiest months in the history of our business. As the country is attempting to move on from the virus lock-in, we assume it has given people the opportunity to consider their property options and helped make the decision to extend rather than move.
If you have a project in mind, we are happy to carry out a free Zoom meeting to discuss it further with you - get in touch via the contact us page on our website.
I hope everyone who visited the Home Building and Renovating Virtual Show managed to find what they needed. There were some technical issues with the chat function so if you would like to discuss any specific project, please get in touch. We have found an initial Zoom meeting works really well to give you some initial guidance and explain how our services work.
Firstly many apologies for our lack of updating on this blog - we will be making a concerted effort to start adding lots of interesting stuff from now on.
With the Covid 19 restrictions, pretty much all of the home building and renovating shows have been cancelled for the rest of the year but we are attending a virtual show on July 24th and 25th. Details can be found on the exhibitions page on our website and we hope it will useful for visitors to find out more about any projects they are considering.
It will be a new experience for us all so hopefully the technology will work okay.
It's Grand Designs time people - hope to see you at the NEC Birmingham next week at one of the biggest home improvement shows of the year.
If you are thinking of extending or improving, please stop for a chat.
Thank you to everyone who stopped to talk to us at the Sandown Park Home Building and Renovating show last weekend. It was a very hot and sunny few days and I think the ice-cream sales were at record levels!
We will be contacting people who left their details to arrange free property assessments and, if you did not leave your details, please get in touch if you would like a visit.
Our next show is at London's Excel in September - see our Exhibitions Page for more information.
Just a reminder to all that the governments 'Neighbour Consultation Scheme' is set to end in May 2019. This allows you to build larger extensions without needing planning permission providing that your neighbours are happy with the proposed scheme.
The works have to be completed by May so now is a good time to get your plans completed and approved if you are thinking of extending under this temporary change to the planning rules. More information can be found on the government website www.planningportal.co.uk (link below).
Hope to see lots of people this weekend at Sandown Park for the Southern Home Building and Renovating Show. Come and have a chat with us if you are thinking of extending or improving your home and make sure you bring your sun hats as it promises to be a sunny weekend.
The exhibition season is truly underway and we have a number of free tickets for one of the biggest home-building and renovating shows in the UK at the NEC Birmingham on 22nd-25th March 2018.
For more information, go to the exhibitions section on our website and we hope to see you there.

The show is packed with products, services, seminars and masterclasses so hope to see you there.
Was great to meet everyone at the Buildit Live show in Kent at the weekend and hope you all got something useful out of your visit. We have a number of slots in the diary available for FREE Property Assessments if you need some more specific advice on any proposal you are considering.
